A look at some of the softwares used at FejjMo Publications
Gone are the days of only paper, pencil, and typewriter …long gone. Today, technology rules the day. Here is a look at what we use here at the Fejj.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025
Excellent software for graphic design. I’ve used this for cover design. It is an economical alternative to the full-blown Adobe Photoshop suite.
ArtSpace.AI

A pretty cool, web-based app that can create just about anything you can imagine. It is AI software which can lead to some interesting results, e.g., three-legged people, and, in the image above, missing fingers. There are a lot of nuances to this app and I’m still finding new techniques. There are six pricing plans, which makes it more accessible to the masses.
Atticus.IO
I use this software, another web-based app, primarily to format novels. It handles print formats as well as e-books. Very intuitive interface and it does what it claims and it does it quite well.
Their support is excellent – responsive and helpful
Bowker – ISBN
Bowker is the vendor that supplies ISBNs for authors in the United States. Various pricing plans are available.
Hostinger Web Hosting
This is the hosting service for the server from which you are reading this. So far, the performance has been excellent. This was also a very cost-effective plan which was important because the scope of the hosting project was not well known when I spun this up.
IngramSpark
They are one of two Print On Demand (POD) services I use. The other being Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). Their interface is a bit less intuitive than KDPs and it will be interesting to see how the initial book setup proceeds.
FejjMo plans on using this outlet for book purchases by libraries and bookstores.
Kindle Direct Publishing
The other Print On Demand (POD) service I use. They are the largest, by market share, of POD services and are owned by Amazon.
Microsoft 365
Had used the freeware suite of applications offered by LibreOffice but have now moved to Microsoft 365. FejjMo thought that this offering is more robust and better supported. Microsoft’s current subscription model costs $69/year though increases will likely occur.
Social Media
I intend to use Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, BlueSky, and X to increase the publication company’s presence and to promote its publications.
Scrivener
Love, love love this software! Simply a wonderful application for writing in most any discipline. It allows for the collection of research material, thoughts and notes. This was one of my first purchases. It presently sells for a ONE TIME fee of $49 with free lifetime updates. Quite a value! Fair warning — big learning curve ahead!
